What Can We Recover The Data From?

Here are a few of the devices we regularly recover data from:

We have also recovered data from Dictaphones, Roland Keyboards, Sony Blogger Cameras and many other devices.

Data:

When we say Data this can mean:

  • General Business Documents
  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel documents
  • Sage Files
  • Quickbooks Files
  • Entourage Database Files
  • Access Database Files

  • Adobe In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier files/projects
  • Cad Files
  • Photographs
  • Lightroom Databases
  • Exchange store files
  • and so on.

The First Stage is The Diagnostic:

Our process is based on a case by case basis because until we can investigate the drive we cannot know if and how we can extract the data and the exact costs.

  • You can book  a diagnostic on-line and then contact the office to arrange payment and discuss packaging up you hard drive and sending it to us.
  • OR
  • You can call the office to arrange to drop off the drive and then complete details and payment at the time you drop it off.  (please note that we can only accept cash or card payments)

The diagnostic costs £35+VAT. (£42) for our Standard Service, we also do an Express Diagnostic if you are in a hurry for you data.

Diagnostic Results and Next Steps:

Step 1) Our technicians will identify the main issue with the drive so we can give you a minimum price for recovery.

Step 2) Once you have confirmed you are happy to pay the minimum price upon successful recovery of your data, we can continue the diagnostic process. If you do not accept the minimum price you can collect your drive from us and there will be nothing further to pay (please note that the diagnostic fee will not be reimbursed).

Step 3) If we are able to recover the data for the minimum price or below, we will proceed with recovery. If we find further issues with your drive, we will send you a new quote for your approval.

Step 4) Once we have recovered your data we will send you an email to arrange transfer to a new Hard Drive or USB.

Step 5) Before you can collect the recovered data you will need to pay the total fee or set up a payment plan, (please note that your original diagnostic fee will be deducted from the final price).

Please see our FAQs page for further details or to book a diagnostic visit our bookings page

Please be advised we cannot store devices so we will only hold a device for up to 60 days after you have received a quote or diagnosis from us. After this time we will email two reminders over two weeks, if we do not receive a response within 72 hours of the second reminder we will securely dispose of the device.

We recently used Maindisc Data Recovery for a major data disaster that we had with our 1TB server and back up system. Having changed over to a new Raid external back up drive, after just a few days successful operation our whole back up system and server files failed. A one in a trillion chance but Maindisc and their team were there to help us. We chose them through referral and their simple to understand website. We made the right choice. They got on the case immediately and their location in Bristol didn’t cause us any difficulty (we are based in Yorkshire). We got all our discs down to them and they went through all the logical steps and within a week we had all our files back up and working. It goes without saying that we hope we never have to use their services again but they were effective, efficient, value for money and kept us up to date throughout the recovery process. I would have no hesitation in recommending their excellent service. One tip, don’t panic just ring Maindisc! – Simon Wright – Director – Communique Advertising www.communiqueadvertising.co.uk –  2013
